  Auto Suture Suture Anchor Tissue Retractor
Surgical auto-suture instrument allows surgeons to follow the ideal circular path necessary for perfect suturing. Unlike other such devices in the market, the novel design uses a standard needle, which are easily available at low cost.

Development team includes Dr. Rupesh Ghyar, IIT Bombay; Dr. Hemant Bhansali, Nanavati Hospital and Sridevi Tool Engineers,Vasai

Current Status: The metal prototype has been manufactured, and has been mechanically tested. The design is being improved based on clinician's feedback. The final device will be available for testing by end of 2015.

Suture Anchor is used in cancellous and osteoporotic bone applications for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair surgery. A new design helps in minimizing anchor pull-out, suture re-tear or breaking at the eyelet, experienced with some of the current suture anchors.

Current status: Metal prototypes have been fabricated and undergoing mechanical testing

Laparoscopic Retractor is meant for use in Cholecystectomy to retract organs hindering the surgery site. It reduces the need for an additional instrument & assistant.

Development team includes Lata Chawla, BETiC, IIT Bombay; and Dr. Rasik Shah, Hinduja Hospital. The rapid prototypes were fabricated at Imaginarium, Mumbai.It is undergoing function test and improvement.
